Eden, New South Wales-Australia

You may have heard of Eden, Australia recently. It was one of the areas that was evacuated last month due to the massive brush fires that threatened to engulf the area. Residents were told to go to the beach or the wharf, so they would be near the water if needed. The area escaped fire damage, but residents said the smoke was so thick that daytime felt like the night. Thankfully, after weeks of steady rainfall, Eden was alive with greenery during our visit! And the wildlife seemed happy also!

Some of the guys headed out to golf a local course, while others shopped or nibbled on goodies in the downtown area. We were all glad to contribute to their economy and encourage them during our time there!

Kangaroos watch over the golf game!
Steve has to be extra careful with this stroke!

Tonight we sail to Sydney, our final destination via the ms Maasdam. We’ll meet a local guide and have a couple of days of exploring the area around Sydney before some guests head back home. Others will stay a couple more days for a visit to the Great Barrier Reef…so check back to see where in the world we are!

Hi there. Glad the smoke cleared for you.
    Are those kangaroos tame?
We are thinking of our friends John and Maime Rose. Hope they are doing well. Tomorrow, the 16th, is Maimie’s birthday. Tell her Happy Birthday from Jon and Joanne (DeBondt)😉

Great photos! The golfers must have enjoyed their wild life company. Did they run after the golf balls 🙂
