About Us

The History of the Tulip Tour Tradition!

Tulip Tours was founded by Ben and Grace Mulder and Don and Bernice Kooy over 15 years ago. The two couples have traveled around the world and wanted to share their experience with others. They formed Tulip Tours and have worked together until recently when they retired. Thankfully the next generation of the Mulder family will carry on the tradition. The Mulder and the Kooys are still traveling and enjoying the benefits that the company has to offer with their outstanding tours.

Over the last 15 years they’ve led groups on several destinations, some trips have even been repeated multiple times due to popularity. The trips have varied with some as small as a few days away at local destinations to their biggest trip, which was an Alaska cruise with 447 travelers. Besides traveling within the United States, they have also been on nine cruises and have traveled to at least 15 foreign countries. Each tour has been a success – check out the great reviews. Some customers have even gone on more than 30 trips!

Tulip Tours has transformed only slightly with the change in ownership. Travelers will still get the same great personal service at an affordable price. A few visual effects have changed, including the company name (Now Tulip Tours & Travel Services), as well as updating the company logo and website. They are also offering a few new travel services. A blog was recently added so both the travelers and family and friends back home can enjoy the photos and updates on the tours. They are also offering custom photo albums, which has been a big hit.
